Bring in your wedding gown, prom dress or other formals and we'll do our best to sell them for you.
A wedding gown or formal dress is a big purchase for most girls and they want to feel special and fashionable when they wear it. Because wedding and prom styles change rapidly we are unable to accept any dresses that were purchased new more than 3 years ago. It's also important the the dress be clean and in perfect condition.
We will consign formals and bridal gowns for a period of 3 months and may elect to keep them in the store for up to 1 year. Because we also sell new gowns it's important that our "experienced" or "used" gown be affordably priced. Our general rule is 1/2 to 1/3 of the original purchase price.
We display your dress in our full service bridal salon and will provide a clear plastic bag for bridal gowns with trains. We participate in three wedding fairs and one prom show each year, advertise on radio, TV, and in bridal publications, offer lay-a-way and professional alterations and accept all major credit cards. You will receive 40% of the selling price for all items you consign with us.
Each month we mail checks to all consignors with a balance of at least $25 in their account. Accounts with less than $25 are not mailed a check but you can come pick up the cash at anytime and your credit never expires.
If at the end of the consignment period your dress has not sold we will contact you and ask you to come and pick it up ay your earliest convenience or we can donate it if you prefer.
We are currently accepting recent style bridal gowns in sizes 2 to 32. We accept prom dresses in December, January and February. We also consign mother of the bride dresses, flower girl dresses, bridal slips, corset style strapless bras, and veils. We only accept bridesmaid dresses if we feel the style can cross over to another occasion such as a school dance.
No appointment is needed to consign wedding and formal dresses but it's not a bad idea to call first just in case we are super busy that day.
